Abstract

This research is aimed to understand whether there is a correlation among consumptive behaviour, self-esteem, and work-discipline. This research is performed on PT. Ardian Putra Mandiri Sidoarjo employees and the subject amounts to 50 people from production sector. Hypothesis X1Y of this research is: there is a correlation between consumptive behaviour and work-discipline. Then, hypothesis X2Y of this research is: there is a correlation between self-esteem and work-discipline. Spearman-Rho is used as the data analysis of hypothesis X1Y, while hypothesis X2Y uses Product Moment correlation by Pearson. The result of hypothesis X1Y is denied due to the data analysis shows the value of correlation rxy = 0,164 with ρ = 0,254 (ρ > 0,05). It can be stated that there is no significant correlation between consumptive behaviour and work-discipline of PT. Ardian Putra Mandiri Sidoarjo employees. Whereas, the result of hypothesis X2Y is accepted, based on the data analysis, it shows the value of correlation rxy = 0,491 with ρ = 0,000 (ρ < 0,01). It can be declared that there is a verry significant correlation between self-esteem and work-discipline of PT. Ardian Putra Mandiri Sidoarjo employees.
