Abstract

Indonesia has a population growth that is increasing every year, so the need for food in maintaining survival of course also increases. According to BPS (Central Statistics Agency) in 2019 chicken production amounted to 3,495,090.53 tons, decreased in 2020 to 3,275,325.72 tons, however chicken meat consumption increased in 2020 which amounted to 0.13 kg per capita a week while in in 2019 amounted to 0.124 kg per capita a week.However, this is still not balanced with what is in the field, so the breeding process is not optimal. Because in breeding chickens properly, you must pay attention to several factors, namely temperature (temperature), ventilation (ventilation), humidity (humidity), and the position of the eggs when incubating. Temperature and humidity in the incubation process are the two main factors (besides air circulation and egg turning) because they can determine the success of the embryo and egg hatching. In addition, based on the reference, the optimal temperature for the incubation period is 37-39 C and the optimal humidity is 55% - 60% RH. In this study, an IOT-based incubator will be made, this egg incubator as a medium to maintain the temperature so that the eggs can receive warm temperatures, this incubator is made using the wemos espduino-32 microcontroller. Where the wemos espduino-32 microcontroller will be combined with a temperature sensor and telegram bot as monitoring temperature and humidity in the egg incubator. When the temperature detected in the incubator is above a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius, the incandescent lamp will turn off and if the temperature is below 37 degrees Celsius, the incandescent lamp will light up.
