Abstract
This research is entitled "Analysis of the Effect of Minimum Wage and GRDP of the Industrial Sector on Labor Absorption in Large and Medium Industries in Regencies/Cities of East Java Province". The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the minimum wage and GRDP of the industrial sector on employment in large and medium industries in the Regency/City of East Java Province. This study uses the variable minimum wage (X1) )and GRDP of the industrial sector (X2) )as the independent variable and employment (Y) as the dependent variable. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the most appropriate panel data regression analysis model. The results of the T test show that the minimum wage has a positive and insignificant effect on employment, while the GRDP of the industrial sector has a negative and significant effect on employment and the results of the F test show that the Minimum Wage and GRDP of the industrial sector have a simultaneous effect on employment.
