Abstract

Every company that is built certainly has the main goal, which is to achieve maximum profit. One way to maximize profits is through investment decisions and funding decisions that can affect dividend policy. Dividend policy is one of the most important things for the company, because dividends are an allocation of funds to be given to shareholders. Investments in sectors that have bright prospects and have an important role in the economy of a country will provide grater prof it opportunities for inevstors. The property and real estate industry is a business that is well-know for its volatile, competitive and fast changing characteristics, intense competition and competitions. One of the objectives of this study is to find out how the effect of liquidity ratios and profitability on dividend policy. This research was conducted on property and real estate sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2016-2020 period. The data analysis method used in this study was descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the variables of liquidity and profitability have an effect on dividend policy. While partially shows that the liquidity variable has no effect on dividend, and the profitability variable on has an effect on dividend policy. Keywords : Dividend Policy, Liquidity, Profitability.
