Abstract

Performance measurement is an important thing for a business unit. This is because performance measurement can be used to assess the success of a company. In addition, it can also be used to prepare suitable business strategies and can be used as a basis for preparing a reward system. With these deficiencies, a performance measurement method that considers financial and non-financial aspects was created, known as the Balance Scarecard. The Balance Scorecard performance measurement involves four perspectives, namely: Financial Perspective, Customer Perspective, Internal Business Process Perspective and Growth and Learning Perspective. The author chose to use PT. I-EL because so far the company's performance measurement is still focused on the financial aspect. From the results of research using the concept of the Balanced Scorecard, it can be concluded that there are several variations in the achievement of results. The growth and learning perspectives are still considered lacking, while the other 3 perspectives are considered good enough. So, the Balanced Scorecard is suitable to be applied to PT. I-EL because the Balanced Scorecard can provide a more structured and comprehensive picture compared to the traditional system that is still used today.
