Abstract
Consumer protection is a matter related to the business sector, especially in the field of food and beverage sales. The increasingly diverse distribution of food and beverages makes consumers not pay attention to the labels on these foods and beverages, especially the halal logo, changes in ingredients included and expiration dates. There are actions taken by business actors to gain profits, such as in the case of coffee drink products containing paracetamol and Viagra. Therefore, legal protection efforts are needed for consumers from various institutions such as LPPOM MUI in charge of handling halal certification, BPOM in charge of supervising the circulation of products and BPSK as a dispute resolution agency in consumer legal sources based on Law No. 8/1999. The implementation of legal protection for consumers from the circulation of expired food and beverages in terms of Law No. 8/1999 through various stages and is related to many factors. Because of this problem, researchers are interested in researching related to the responsibility of business actors to consumers for coffee beverage products containing paracetamol and Viagra which are not in accordance with the standards and quality offered to consumers, which then researchers use a normative juridical research method with a normative approach. legislation, conceptual approach and case approach.
