Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between religiosity and anxiety about death in middle adulthood. This study uses quantitative methods to achieve the research objectives. The research subjects used in this study were residents of the village of Taman Tengah Gg.II Sidoarjo, totaling 87 people. This research is a population study research. The measuring instrument uses a scale of religiosity and anxiety about death in middle adults. Research data were analyzed using Spearman Brown correlation test. The results of the tests that have been carried out, from the Spearman Brown correlation test table above, the results of the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.447 with a significance value of p = 0.000 because p < 0.01, which means that there is a very significant negative relationship between religiosity and anxiety about death. In this result, it can be interpreted that the higher the religiosity, the lower the anxiety about death in middle adults and vice versa, the lower the religiosity, the higher the anxiety about death in middle adults. The results of this study are in accordance with the proposed hypothesis, that there is a negative relationship between religiosity and anxiety about death in middle-aged adults.
