Abstract

Toxic Relationship is an unhealthy relationship that can cause physically or emotionally damaging to yourself or others. Toxic Relationships are rife in dating relationships with being dominated or marked by selfishness, excessive jealousy, being restrained and pressured by partners, feeling uncomfortablein dating relationships, not appreciating their partners, and there are still many negative behaviors and attitude that occur in dating relationships. Getting out of a toxic relationship is not easy, most people who experience it will try to end/break the relationship they are experiencing, there are also some people who often experience trauma to reconnect with other people, and some even find it difficult to built new relationships due to physical impacts. And psychology that emerges. They still want to maintain their relationship with all difficulties, which most people will end/ break the romance they experience but unlike the subjects in this study both of them are trying to get up from stressful conditions and are willing to face all the difficulties that are obtained from their partner and turn it into something positive. The ability to overcome difficult, stressful, and full of misery or trauma experienced in life by rising from all stressful problems is called resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and resilience in adolescents who experience toxic relationships. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and resilience in adolescents who experience toxic relationships. Collecting data in this study using a scale, namely the self- esteem scale and resilience scale and analyzed using product moment analysis techniques.
