Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self- efficacy and academic procrastination in students and also to determine differences in academic procrastination in terms of gender in students. The population of this study amounted to 752 people from the psychology faculty of the University of 17 August 1945, Surabaya. Then using the Slovin formula, it was found that this study required 88 participants. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with incidental sampling. This research uses correlational and comparative quantitative research. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in this study is the Spearman's Rho correlation and the Independent Sample T-Test test. The Spearman's Rho test got a value of - 0.759 with a significance value of 0.000. This shows that there is a very significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination. Testing the second hypothesis using the Independent Sample T- Test gets a significance value of 0.023. With this it can be concluded that there are significant differences in academic procrastination in terms of gender in students. Keywords: Academic Procrastination, Self-Efficacy, Gender
