Abstract

UD . Karya Logam Stell is an MSME that manufactures cassava chopping machines , onion chopping machines , and shredded shredder machines . In determining the selling price UD . Karya Logam Stell does not use the method of calculating the cost of production , the calculations are carried out using manual methods . The manual recording causes difficulties when looking for data , the data is not precise , and also lacks detail , sometimes even the absence of recording so that it causes managers and owners to face difficulties when they want to know the cost of production for a product . This company requires an accounting information system to facilitate the company in generating reports . The research was conducted to obtain information on the cost of production , existing employees no longer need to record manually , employees only need to input cost data into the system . One of the database software that can design a system for calculating the cost of production is Microsoft Access . The experimental results using Microsoft Access with manual calculations show the same results , namely the price of the Cassava Chopper machine is Rp . 427,195 , Onion Chopper is Rp . 453,622 , Srawut Chopper is Rp . 454,506 . However , the visible difference is in the processing time where using Microsoft Access will be more efficient in determining the Cost of Product.
