Abstract
One village development policy is to grant villages full authority in implementing development in their territory by maximizing their use of resources or potential with a view to improving living conditions, sustainable village prosperity, and improving village self-reliance. The focus of leverages the potential in such policies is the prudence of natural resources, social capital, human resources, democracy and participation, the mandates, allocation of funds, empowerment, and so on. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze appropriate strategies for developing local potential in the construction of mojomgrasses based strategy analysis. As a result of this study, the village of Mojomalang has the potential of geographical position, agricultural sector (corn, rice, and jicama), human resources as a work force, and culture of prosperity. Based on analysis of the strategic initiative, the policy of opportunies-development is required: 1) to provide employment opportunities for communities and farmers; 2) develop the silos; 3) the exercise of empowerment, counseling, and training for society; 4) human resources development; And 5) the fulfillment of local resources and infrastructure. The conclusion to this research is that the development of the local potential in mojomreeds village is still focused on the development of physical potential, the agricultural sector. As for developing that potential, it would require three principal strategies, namely: 1) continuing empowerment of rural Mojomalang’s farmers; 2) undertaking the construction of silos by utilizing Gapoktan means and infrastructure; And 3) innovating with agricultural products in the form of jicama becomes a value- added product.
