Abstract

In general, the existence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can be said to be the backbone of the economy in a country. The existence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has moved the economy and reduced the number of unemployed. The success of a business in improving a business today is very dependent on the entrepreneurial ability of the owner. Business owners who have a strong entrepreneurial orientation are able to increase the success of a business. In addition, competitive advantage can also increase the success of a business. As the economy develops, companies are required to further improve the quality of production. In Ngingas Village itself there are approximately 300 entrepreneurs who produce goods made from iron metal. Therefore, every entrepreneur must pay attention to the quality of the products produced, because the more competitors there are, the more consumers will choose to buy. This study aims to determine the influence of Entrepreneurship Orientation, Competitive Advantage on Business Success in the Metal Industry in Waru, Sidoarjo. This study uses quantitative research with data collection methods using questionnaires. The population in this study were all metal industry business owners in Waru Sidoarjo and the sample of this study were 100 metal industry business owners in Waru Sidoarjo. The sampling technique in this research is using the non-probability sampling method and the purposive sampling technique. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing can be partially concluded that the results of the t-test value, t-count is greater than t-table, then Ho is rejected. Shows that Entrepreneurship Orientation and Competitive Advantage partially have a positive and significant effect on Business Success in the Metal Industry in Waru Sidoarjo.
