Abstract

PT. Nala Anggada Perkasa which is engaged in the production of road asphalt with Asphalt products CPHMA (Cold Paving Hot Mix Asbuton) where this study aims to obtain the number of workers that will be used and the mental burden felt by the workers in the company by knowing the working process time at asphalt production department in order to meet production targets by optimizing labor for workers. The research was carried out in stages, namely the first by making observations and then continuing by determining the number of observations, observing work sampling, collecting data on the results of work sampling and the fatigue felt by workers, processing data, and analyzing the results that had been calculated and concluded the results of the research. The times study calculation is used to obtain the completion time of asphalt production and packaging while the NASA-TLX calculation is useful for calculating the mental workload of the workers with 6 score rating indicators, namely (Mental Demand, Physical Demand, Temporal Demand, Performance, Frustration Level, Effort) . Judging from the calculation of the times study, there is a reduction in the workforce for warehouse and forklift operators with 1 worker each and an additional workforce for asphalt packaging operators with 6 workers. Calculations using the NASA-TLX method state that the workload on the asphalt packaging section operator is too high with an average Weighted Workload value of 75.78 with 3 operators in the category of very high mental workload above 80.
