Abstract

The issue of drugs is a problem plaguing the society. Due to the use of drugs is not only detrimental to the individual as a drug user, but also detrimental to other parties. Such as, family morally and materially harmed the shame and property. Communities harmed by the drug user attitudes that tend to criminality. Anti-Drug Information Center community of North Sumatra (PIMANSU) states in 2009 the number of drug crime suspects in North Sumatra reached 1753 people. Where the field was ranked first by the number of suspects reached 757 people (Kistyarini,the National Narcotics Agency,2011). This study aims to look at the stability of Emotional Relationship With Motivation Stop Using Drugs among Drug Users, there were 60 subjects. Results of correlation between variables Emotional Stability (X) with variable motivation Stop Using Drugs (Y) obtained by the Pearson correlation coefficient (rxy) for = 0.844 at the significance level (p) = 0.000. Therefore, the significance level obtained is smaller than 0.01, then the mean between Emotional Stability variable (X) with variable motivation Stop Using Drugs (Y) has a positive relationship; very strong and very significant. Based on the analysis of data that have been found, indicating that there is a positive and significant relationship between Emotional Stability to Stop Using Motivation Among Drug Users Narkoba.Hasil in this study in accordance with the hypothesis that there is a relationship between emotional stability with motivation to stop using drugs. The results also showed high results for emotional stability, which makes the proposed hypothesis is accepted. It can be seen from the findings that the more positive emotional stability, allowing drug users have a high motivation to stop using drugs. The stability of positive emotions by drug users, can motivate stop using drugs among drug users
