Abstract
A flood is an event in which a channel cannot be accommodated by a channel resulting in inundation. This happened in kepuh permai housing. The study aims to look for flood discharge plans, existing flood discharges, and channel re-planning measures using rain data for the past 10 years from 2011 to 2020. Calculations are used in finding maximum rainfall using arithmetic methods. In hydrological calculations are done by comparison between the Gombel method, the Normal method, the Type III Percent Log method and the Chi-Squared method. Next the calculation of the flow coefficient by looking for the slope of the channel continued with the calculation of rain intensity is done with the formula Manonobe. Debit plan here is used as a reference for the ability of channels can accommodate, sought using rational methods. After knowing the debit plan, namely the calculation of existing channel debit is a rational method, in this case it is shown that the condition of the channel is correct and is not able to accommodate maximum rainfall in the time of 2 years, 5 years, 10 years. In this case, redesign is carried out with trian and eror method until it is declared able to accommodate maximum rain discharge (flood). Keywords: Floods, rainfall, canal.
