Abstract

The rise of counterfeit goods such as electronic goods, cosmetics and clothes (fashion) is very detrimental to consumers ahir-ahir rampant encountered so I feel businesses must undertake responsibility over these things so that I as the author formulate the problem of how consumer protection in the legal system in Indonesia and how the legal responsibility of businesses for goods that are not suitable agreement with the consumer. Method used normative juridical research methods, approaches the problem with the approach of legislation, conceptual approaches and analytical approach. Form of consumer protection according to Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection is in the form of consumer protection agency in chapter VIII of the Act. While the responsibility of businesses is to provide compensation contained in article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act
