Abstract
This study aims to determine whether each ordering of raw materials at UD. Risma Jati Mandiri can be applied to the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT) methods. And then analyzed and compared the results using two inventory systems namely Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT) to minimize inventory costs and the risk of losses from inventory procurement. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods by describing how inventory control is applied by the company, then the data are analyzed using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT) methods. Data collection techniques used in this study with field research are: observation, interviews, and documentation and library research. Data analysis techniques used in this study were EOQ formula, Safety Stock, Reorder Point and JIT formula. The results of this study indicate that the EOQ and JIT systems are more efficient compared to company policies. By using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method the total cost of raw material inventory is Rp. 5.213.140,24 means that if the company applies the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method the company can save costs by Rp. 3.596.109,76. While using the Just In Time (JIT) method, the total inventory cost incurred is Rp. 4.248.197,58 , meaning that by applying the Just In Time (JIT) method the company can save costs by Rp. 4.561.052,42. Between the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT) methods, the Just In Time (JIT) method has greater efficiency when viewed from the total cost of raw material inventory and the amount of cost savings, so as to minimize inventory costs and the risk of loss due from the procurement of raw materials when compared to the total cost of the company's inventory.
