Abstract

This research is backed by the level of discipline of students while studying in the school. The importance of student discipline is influential in supporting student behaviour. Student behaviour concerns community concerns by the phenomenon of problems in adolescents who are vulnerable to juvenile delinquency or deviant behavior. Low student discipline will certainly lead to negative behaviors that will be developed into juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency will pose a variety of problems for students in the form of regulatory violations in schools, breaking schools, not working on school assignments, smoking, fighting between friends in the school area, to blurring during the lesson hours. Rather, the high discipline of students will reduce the delinquency in teenagers by having positive behaviors. This research aims to determine the relationship between students 'discipline with the delinquency towards the students of the MTs 03 Surabaya state students involving 125 students consisting of grades 7 and 8. Data processing with the correlation technique product moment using SPSS program version 24. Based on the analysis test results obtained the correlation coefficient (R) of-0.392 with a significance level (P) = 0.000 (P < 0.01). The results of this research show that there is a very significant negative relationship between student discipline and delinquency in students of MTs Negeri 03 Surabaya. This means hypotheses that there is a negative relationship between student discipline and delinquency among students are accepted.
