Abstract
Blind students have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their potential as well as normal students. But limiting vision requires students to take further challenges with school, facilitate with friends or teachers and carry out learning activities. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with the type of assessment research. The research subjects were taken by total sampling technique. The population that will be used in this study is adolescents with visual impairment from the Association of the Blind Persons (PERTUNI) branch in Surabaya, the number of blind adolescents based on annual data from the PERTUNI community which is processed by PERTUNI's management is 30 people. Based on trials, obtained ρ = 0.776 at the significance level (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05). Understand development strategies with academic presentations. This means that the better the self presentation, the higher academic achievement. The worse the presentation strategy, the lower the academic performance. The presentation strategy made an effective contribution of 61.15% to academic achievement, and 38.85% was accepted as other factors not related to academic achievement.
