Abstract

Self-acceptance is an individual having confidence in his ability to overcome problems in his life and when experiencing failure, the individual does not cope with frustration but with an attitude of optimism (hopeful). Individuals who do not have an attitude of self-acceptance as individuals who have child with special needs (ABK), then the individual will be inclined to conduct an attitude of rejection, even frustrating. Frustration occurs if the individual is hindered in achieving goals and expectations continuously, thus causing frustration that can trigger the occurrence of aggression behavior arises. The research aims to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and aggression behavior in parents who have special needs children (ABK) at state SLB of Jepara. The subject in this study is the parent of the domestic students at state extraordinary school of Jepara amounting to 55 subjects. Data collection is carried out using the self acceptance scales Sheerer and the scale of aggression of Berkowitz. The method of data analysis used in this study is one of Pearson's product-moment correlation techniques. The results of data analysis show that the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between self-acceptance and aggression behaviour amounted to-0654 and (p = 0.000 < 0.05). These results are a hyposimilar that there is a negative connection between self-acceptance and aggression behaviour. With an effective donation provided by the acceptance of aggression behavior of 42.8%. Thus hypothesized in the research that reads, there is a negative relationship between the acceptance of the behavior of aggression on parents who have child with special needs (ABK) at state SLB of Jepara, can be acceptable.
