Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and self adjustment on overseas students from public or private universities in the city of Surabaya. The study sample numbered 100 overseas students from public or private universities in the city of Surabaya who joined the student association from Lampung, Kalimantan, and Minang. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method uses social support scale (36 items, α = 0.964) and self adjustment scale (45 items, α = 0.962). Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show the value (rxy) = 0.545 with p = 0,000 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a positive relationship between social support variables and adjustment variables. Social support made an effective contribution of 46.7% towards adjustment.
