Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the relationship between emotion regulation and anxiety in Tarung Derajat athletes in East Java. The method used in this research is a correlational research method which aims to detect the extent to which variations in a factor are related to variations in one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient. In this study, a sample selection technique was used in the form of purposive sampling. This selection technique is used to determine the sample according to the criteria and theories that are used as the basis of the research. This research was conducted on East Java fighting athletes with a total of 110 person. From the research, it was found that there was a significant relationship between regulation and anxiety with a value ofrxy = -0.746 with a significance of p = 1.1 (p>0.05) meaning that there was a very significant negative relationship between emotional regulation and anxiety facing the competition in fighting athletes. degrees East Java The existence of a negative relationship can be interpreted as the higher one's emotional regulation, the lower the anxiety experienced, and vice versa the lower one's emotional regulation, the higher the anxiety experienced.
