Abstract

The cosmetic industry is growing from year to year, this is because cosmetic products have become a necessity for some people. The number of cosmetic products causes high competition between companies so that it requires companies to have competitive strategies and increase company value. The purpose of this study was to determine "The effect of firm size, leverage, and profitability on firm value". The object of this research is a cosmetic company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population in this study were all cosmetic companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and the samples that were obtained were 6 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016 – 2020. The data collection method used in this study was document study. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 22. The results showed that (1) partially firm size had no significant effect on firm value, while leverage and profitability had a significant effect on firm value (2) simultaneously firm size, leverage and profitability had a significant effect on firm value.
