Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country where most of Indonesia's territory consists of waters so that the fisheries sector is a very sticky part of Indonesia. The Indonesian fishery sector is a sector that is one of the pillars of the country's economy. One of the areas in Indonesia with the largest fish cultivation is in Sidoarjo Regency. Sidoarjo Regency has a fairly large pond area which reaches 15,530,40 hectares belonging to around 3,300 farmers. The entire pond area is spread over several sub-districts in Sidoarjo Regency. Sidoarjo is known as the owner of a fairly large milkfish pond land, but most of the ponds in Sidoarjo are traditional ponds that require a large enough land area. On the other hand, with the population growth rate in Sidoarjo which is increasing from year to year, where the need for residential land is also increasingly needed, all land needs are minimized as much as possible. With these problems will result in the shrinkage of pond land that will occur in the coming years. So this will have a big impact on the aquaculture sector in Sidoarjo Regency which will have an impact on the decline in the local economy. Therefore, a development of Intensive Milkfish Cultivation Educational Tour is sought as an educational forum for pond farmers to build intensive ponds as a solution to aquaculture problems in Sidoarjo Regency, as well as a form of tourism that can attract local and national tourists to improve the local economy. because it can present a development that can overcome existing problems and can increase public interest in milkfish cultivation in Sidoarjo Regency.
