Abstract

The most influential factor in the livestock business is feed, because feed has a share of 70-80% of the overall cost of production. Feed production, if maintained optimally during the rainy season, can produce maximum forage feed, but it must also require proper workmanship so that it can meet the needs when the harvest period is running low, when it can complete the stock..feed..livestock. The need for animal feed every day is quite a lot, this is because the number of requests for goats/farm animals increases every year, so they cannot fulfill animal feed manually. There is a problem in Maduran Village, namely the limitation on the capacity of the old grass chopper so it needs to be repaired. The existence of the design and development of this grass chopper is expected to meet the existing feed needs by changing the shape of the blade and using steel material, which has a length of 19.5cm, and is equipped with a hummermill of 12 blades. Thus, it is expected to increase the capacity of this machine itself and can meet the community's animal feed needs.
