Abstract

UD Uma Jaya is a company engaged in manufacturing that produces goods in the form of stove mats. The problems that occur at UD Uma Jaya are low productivity and overload, this occurs due to an increase in the number of orders for stove mats, causing many unrealized requests. To analyze the workload and determine the optimal workforce needs, this study uses the Workload Analysis (WLA) method. The workload received by workers is 105.7%, the standard time for making stove mats is 13.66 minutes/unit. Planning the number of workers, if using 1 worker will require additional overtime for 2 hours 16, with the cost of labor that is issued Rp.150.000 / day whereas if using 2 workers will require a greater cost of Rp 240,000 / day.
