Abstract

Abstrak - Film bisa dimaknai sebagai strategi instan buat meningkatkan makna serta identitas budaya Indonesia. Fungsi film tidak hanya sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga dapat berperan sebagai instrumen buat mencerminkan nilai- nilai lokal serta perspektif tradisional lewat cerita yang disajikan oleh sutradara film. Film yang disutradarai oleh Azhar Kinoi Lubis merupakan salah satu film Indonesia yang berusaha memadukan antar budaya tanpa menghilangkan unsur asli dalam kebudayaan tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika dari Roland barthes. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana Akulturasi budaya Osing dalam film Kafir sehingga diharapkan mampu membangkitkan jiwa saling menghargai terhadap akulturasi budaya atau pencampuran budaya. Dengan harapan generasi muda dapat mengamalkan nilai-nilai saling menghargai atas percampuran budaya dalam kehidupan nyata. Data dalam penelitian ini di dapat melalui adegan-adegan pada film Kafir yang terdapat unsur-unsur akulturasi budaya di dalamnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa akulturasi dalam film ini terdapat pada perpaduan antar budaya yang kemudian menghasilkan kebudayaan baru tanpa menghilangkan unsur-unsur asli dalam kebudayaan tersebut.
