Abstract

The train is a public transportation that is often used by the people of Indonesia, by using the train people can easily get to their destination from city to city, even in big cities in Indonesia. This train can also be considered as an effective and efficient public transportation. Accidents on railroad crossings often occur in Indonesia, the cause of train accidents in general is because there are no doorstops at railroad crossings, failure of doorstops to close when needed, and many motorcycle riders who don’t comply with the regulations by PT. KAI where the driver is required to stop at the line provided behind the doorstop. This resulted in many fatalities, both minor accidents that only resulted in injuries to major accidents, namely death and many other material losses. For this reason, this study will create an automatic train doorstop system that is scheduled according to the IoT-based train schedule web, equipped with a wifi module as a tool that is integrated with the train scheduling information system and uses Ultrasonic Sensors and RTC(Real Time Clock) Modules to ensure that the train schedule that will pass is the same as the actual time, with this system it will control the gates at railway crossing posts. With the scheduled automatic doorstop system, it is expected to reduce accidents at railroad crossings. In this study, the aim of this research is to create a scheduled automatic doorstop system that is integrated with an intelligent train scheduler information system.
