Abstract

Indonesia, including in Countries that the staple food is rice. Therefore, Indonesia needs rice with good quality. A good rice is rice that is a lot of whole rice than rice broken, therefore it is very necessary sieving machine rice can help to prepare the best rice to be sold in the market or consumed. With the presence of these issues, the purpose of this research is to create tools sieving machine rice using the method of vibrating screen or vibrating. The machine tool is tested with several variables, namely the engine rpm, the angle of slope and the variation of the shape of the filter, with the aim to get the best results from between the variables. This study uses a quantitative method that calculates the planning resources, shaft, pulley, round, V-belt. With the use of variable engine rotation and Angle of slope as well as the shape of the sieve flat and curved. From the results of observations obtained on the sieving by using the sieve of flat and curved to the engine speed of 100 rpm and a slope of 5° to get the results more time efficient and quick. With the result that the sieve flat gain time 02:09 minutes while the sieve arch 02:12 minutes.
