Abstract

Currently, the application of sensors to facilitate human work is increasing. One of them is the use of infrared sensors and water level sensors, which are now starting to be applied in various IoT projects and one of them is IoT-based animal cages. The meaning of IoT itself is a concept or program where an object has the ability to transmit or transmit data over a network without using computers or humans. In this case, IoT refers to how the systems in this project work, such as the scheduling system, the monitoring system, and the data storage system. With the ATmega 2560 as a microcontroller that regulates all sensors and the ESP 8266 module which functions as a liaison between the microcontroller and Android, it is hoped that the tool will run smoothly. The microcontroller is here as the brain to command all its companion components, it is very reliable to be able to move the servo motor as a bird feeder, and activate the relay as a switch on the solenoid to fill the water in the container, provide control over the water sensor and infrared sensor for filling not exceeding the limit, giving orders to RTC as a feed scheduling system, and the last one provides synchronization to the ESP 8266 module to connect the microcontroller with android.
