Abstract

The current level of earthquake risk continues to increase, so there must be action on buildings that have been degraded and planned with the old rules to keep the building safe. The higher the building the more vulnerable the building is also in withstand the force of the earthquake because the building has vertical movement and horizontal movement. These movements give rise to inertial forces or structural earthquake forces. In this final project will be design and analysis of high building behavior using Spectrum Response method. In designing multilevel building structures there is a major principle that must be considered is to increase the strength of the structure against the lateral force. One of the methods used is shear wall. The shear wall is a reinforced concrete wall with very large flatness stiffness placed at a specific location (elevator or stairwell) to provide a horizontal force resistance / load. The sliding wall function of the tall building is also important to support the floor and make sure it does not collapse when there is a lateral or earthquake force. Sliding wall positions or positions can also affect the economics of the building and the strength of the building itself.
