Abstract

In this rapidly evolving technological era, it has enabled several researchers and several companies to compete to make a new thing or idea. Because, in this world development does not only run monotonously but there must be a new era to support a need. As in this study which discusses material research in the composite field. At this time the composite field is indeed quite superior with its capacity that is very influential on current needs. In its application, it also has advantages in the industrial world in the long term and has various advantages. Not infrequently the material has mechanical properties and characteristics that are not in accordance with the desired conditions. Composite is a combination of 2 or more materials which are composed of a mixture of materials that have different physical and mechanical properties and produce new materials that have different properties with their constituent materials. The combination of these two materials is a combination of composite materials,namely filler(reinforcement) and matrix (binder). Composite classification can also be distinguished based on uses such as Metal Matrix Composite (MMC), Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC), Polymer Matrix Composite (PMC). To increase hardness and values and tensile strength heat treatment is carried out, because the matrix of this material is aluminum then the heat treatment used is T6 heat treatment. In this study, we will examine the effects of variations in dissolution temperature and dissolution time on the T6 heat treatment process on hardness and tensile strength on Al-Abu Basic Coal composite materials, so that the values of hardness and tensile strength of the material.
