Abstract
More plate composite are carefully examined for the formation process. Superplasticity is a phenomenon where materials at high temperatures and certain strain rates can show an extension of more than equal to 200%, where this data is very important before the manufacturing process is carried out on a material. This research is aimed at obtaining superplasticity data on Al 2xxx (used piston) which is replaced by coal bottom ash. The researcher here uses a heat tensile test with a temperature variation of 350, 400, 450 O C with a combination speed of 1, 0.1, 0.01 mm / sec. From the test results obtained the highest extension was obtained at 11.58% at 350 O C temperature variation with an increase rate of 0.1 mm / sec. In the above conditions, it can be concluded that the material still does not show superplasticity at a temperature of 350-450 O C which causes it because this temperature is still included in the transition temperature (impact test).
