Abstract

Bullying is an oppression carried out by a person or group of people who are considered stronger to those who are weaker in physical and non-physical forms, Bullying physical forms such as tugging, hitting, kicking and other physical attacks., While non-physical forms of verbal abuse, humiliation and others, There are several factors that might influence bullying behavior, including self-concept, Self-concept is a picture that exists in an individual's self which contains how individuals see and judge themselves, Self-concept is divided into negative self-concept and positive self-concept, Students who have positive self-concept do not lead to bullying behavior, while students who have negative self-concept have a tendency to bullying behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior that occurs in Mts. Darul Ulum Waru, The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior that occurs in Mts. Darul Ulum Waru, The higher the self-concept, the lower the bullying behavior, whereas the lower the concept, the higher the bullying behavior, The population in this study were students Mts. Darul Ulum Waru in class VIII. While the sample in this study amounted to 108 respondents class VIII, The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, Data collection method in this study uses a Likert scale in the form of a bullying scale and self-concept scale, While the data analysis technique uses product moment analysis in the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) program version 23.0. Based on the results of the calculation of Pearsons product moment analysis technique obtained a correlation value of -0.521, p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and bullying behavior that occurs in Mts. Darul Ulum Waru.
