Abstract

Forecasting electricity demand for the next one or two decades is an important aspect of electricity utility. This final project aims to estimate the amount of electrical energy needed at Juanda Airport in Surabaya, as well as to see the impact of the Covid-19 virus on forecasting results for the next 1 year. The forecasting method used is the Holt Winter Additive method, the data used are historical data on the use of electrical energy from 2014 to 2020. From the research results, the best constant value is α = 0.8; = 0.04; = 1. beta value that is close to 0 indicates that the data is horizontal or can be assumed that today's trend is the same as last day's trend. For a gamma value of 1, it means that the data does not take into account the seasonal value of the previous period and only considers the level value and the amount of observation of the actual value of the previous period. -19 on forecasting has a great influence. Meanwhile, the data generated with the assumption that there is no Covid-19 virus shows a constant data value where the trend that occurs is the same as the trend in the past.
