Abstract

Purposes. The main problem of this research is the weakness of teacher’s performance of Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Surabaya. This research does the test of statistic using five variables, namely teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership, teacher’s competence, teacher’s job satisfaction, and teacher’s performance. Designs. Number of population is 628 teachers and the sample is 244 teachers as respondents counted using Slovin formula. The sampling technique is purposive sampling, in the group of non-probability sampling. This research employs a survey method to collect quantitative data through questionnaires. Technique of analyzing data used SEM through the program of Amos 21. Findings. Results of the research have showed that (1). Teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership strongly influences on teacher’s work satisfaction. (2). Teacher’s competence strongly influences on teacher’s work satisfaction. (3). Teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership strongly influences on teacher’s performance. (4). Teacher’s competence strongly influences on teacher’s performance. (5). Teacher’s work satisfaction strongly influences on teacher’s performance. To know that teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership has the strongest influence on teacher’s work satisfaction. Implications. The implication of the results of this study is that when the teacher runs the learning process by enabling the indicators of the teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership variable and the indicators of the teacher’s competency variable have a strong effect on increasing teacher’s job satisfaction. In addition, in the learning process by applying indicators of teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership variables and indicators of teacher’s competency variables adjusted to the characteristics of students also have a strong effect on improving teacher’s performance. Other than that, the indicators of the teacher’s job satisfaction variable that are carried out in the learning process also have a strong effect on improving teacher’s performance. Recommendation. It is recommended to the next researchers to do research about the impacts of teacher’s entrepreneurial leadership, teacher’s competence on teacher’s work satisfaction and teacher’s performance.
