Abstract

This study aims to determine the system of planning, controlling and analyzing the JIT (Just In Time) system for the supply of raw materials in meeting the production needs of Sinar Terang SMEs. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Data collection is done through observation and retrieval of data or company archives. In this study the data used are primary data and secondary data. saving costs and comparing the effectiveness and efficiency in the application of the JIT method. The results of this study can show that in the application of the JIT (Just In Time) system at UD. Sinar Terang, the comparison of the Just In Time method with company policies is obtained. It can be seen in terms of the cost of procurement of raw materials, the Just In Time method has a fairly good level of cost efficiency which only requires an inventory cost of Rp. 1,600,000 / year with a percentage (63%) more efficient than company policy, which is Rp. 2,520,000.
