Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy with future orientation on adolescents. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy with future orientation on adolescents. It means that the higher of self-efficacy on adolescents, Then the higher of orientation in their future as well. The population in this study are students of SMA X Surabaya. While the sample in this study amounted to 210 respondents consisting of students from one until three grades. Sampling technique is done by cluster sampling. The methods of data collection in this study using a Likert scale in the form of self-efficacy scale and scale of future orientation. While the technique of data analysis using Pearson Product Moment correlation on the program Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20. Based on the calculation of product moment correlation analysis technique from Pearson obtained correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.971, p = 0,000 (p <0, 05). It means there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy with future orientation on adolescents. The results of this study are expected to later be able to contribute to the problem of finding future orientation in adolescents and provide knowledge about the importance of having self-efficacy in adolescents in order to develop and train their abilities in the areas of interest.
