Abstract

In the design of hybrid power plants using solar and wind power here because these types of plants are alternative energy sources to overcome the existing fossil energy crisis. This study used the first two research sites in the village of Dungkek Subdistrict, Sumenep Regency and the second on the 4th floor of the Faculty of Engineering University Building 17 August 1945 Surabaya with the specification of a pin with 3 blade and 100 Wp solar cell in this study aimed at knowing the power produced by windmills and solar cells. At the highest experimental results, the generator short circuit was obtained when the measurement on the 4th floor of the K faculty building obtained a generator short circuit at a speed of 5.7 m / s with a voltage of 23 volts and a current of 2.56 amperes. While the results of the experiment with the highest solar cell power on the charger control were obtained from measurements in the village of other villages in Dungkek sub-district, Sumenep district, hit 13.00 with a total power of 33.75 watts with cloudy weather conditions. Whereas the highest power in parallel measurements between solar sell and windmills was obtained at measurements on the 4th floor of the engineering faculty building at 13 volts and the current of 3.8 amperes with a total power of 49.4 watts.
