Abstract

Labour is one of the important factors in economic development .Tourism sector especially in the supporting sector is the hospitality sector is one of the field of work that can absorb the workforce is quite high.The tourism sector is one of the sectors that cages the highest income in Batu.The phenomenon of labor absorption in the hotels industry is deemed interesting by the authors, this conducting such research.Because the development of tourism is large enough to be accompanied by the development of the support sector is also large.This research aims to analyse how many hotel numbers, number of visitors and wage rate towards the labor absorption of hotels industry in Batu City.This study uses secondary data with multiple linear regression analysis tools of data time series.The study used the data period from 2014 until the year 2018.The results of the analysis that has been done that variable number of hotels, visitors and wage rate have a positive and significant effect on the absorption of manpower in the hotels industry in Batu city.
