Abstract

Service providers who are involved in a construction project generally really expect the project to go according to plan. However, in the implementation process, obstacles often occurred that were not known beforehand. For this reason, research is needed to determine the factors that cause delays in project completion so that the project completion time is in accordance with the plan. This study aims to determine the factors that cause tardiness, determine the rankings of the factors causing work delays and recommendations for solutions that can be made based on the existing problems. This type of research is a descriptive study. The method of data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews as a means of collecting data that were distributed to respondents. The data analysis technique used the factor analysis method and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS program for data processing. It is known that the factors causing delays in project completion are: labor, design, implementation methods, materials / materials, finance, equipment, work environment, managerial and unexpected events. After performing multiple linear regression analysis, the equation Y = -14,531 + 0,321 X1 + 0,162 X2 + 0,171 X3 + 0,078 X4 + 0,115 X5 + 0,137 X6 + 0,235 X7 + 0,214 X8 + 0,217 X9 is obtained. It is known that the ranking (ranking) of the most dominant factors, respectively, is labor, site characteristics, unexpected events, managerial, design, implementation methods, equipment, finance and finally material / material factors. The recommendations that can be done: PT. Gala Karya as a construction company should pay attention to labor needs. The shortage of skilled manpower can be overcome by means of training or coaching. Pay attention to the weather prediction at the time of execution.
