Irrigation is the efforts to supply, to flow and to distribute water with the purpose to fulfill the agriculture and fishery needs. To fulfill this matter, needs the canal network system that will accommodate, flow and regulate the inflow and outflow. The canal irrigation is planned due to the region where the canal irrigation system is needed like the region of Bilimau, district Ermera, in Timor Leste. The purpose of this research are to analyze the rate of flow for irrigation needs and to analize the economic canal rrigation refer to cost and time between square canal irrigation and trapezium canal irrigationto channel the water to the rice field in Distrik Ermera, Timor Leste.The accomplishment method in the research usesthe calculation of irrigation water needs (irrigation planning standards, 2013) and hydraulic planning to define the dimention of the canal irrigation. The analysis result shows that the rate of flow based on 10 years rainfallplanning for irrigation water needs (from 2010 to 2019) is about 1.030 m3/s.Cost planning using Timor-Leste Standard Measurament and Method (TLSMM – 2015) of square canal irrigation is about $ 2.082,21with 14 days of implementation and trapezium canal irrigation is about $ 2,133.54 with 17 days of implementation.From both result clarified that implementation of economic canal irrigation is the square canal irrigation with the smaller cost comparation amount of $ 51.33 and the implementation amount of 3 days fasterthan the trapezium canal irrigation.
