Abstract

One of the basic human needs is water, where water is a natural resource that contributes a lot to human growth and development. In addition, water is also needed to meet daily activities, namely as a supply of raw water needs both domestic and non-domestic, irrigation water needs, hydroelec such as hydropower and others. Optimization of reservoir management function is one way that water resources can be managed optimally. The function of reservoirs is actually as a storage and provider of water. The availability of water in the reservoir is expected to be able to meet the needs according to its function.Optimization of irrigation water administration in this study for rainfall analysis using Arithmetic Average (Algebra) method, for evapotranspiration analysis using FAO Modification Penman method, while for debit analysis using F.J. Mock method.Based on the results of the analysis of irrigation water administration optimization in DI Bajulmati, irrigation water needs in the Bajulmati Irrigation Area before optimization is 2.71 m3/dt with a raw rice field area of 1,411.60 ha and after optimization is 3.48 m3/dt with a raw rice field area of 1,810 ha, then the maximum land area for agriculture that can be irrigated in the Bajulmati Irrigation Area is 792,502.20 ha, as well as rice planting patterns in the Bajulmati Irrigation Area optimally in accordance with the availability of existing water is rice-rice-palawija, namely planting season 1 (rice) in February period I - June period I, planting season 2 (rice) in June period II - October period II, and planting season 3 (palawija) in October period II - January period II.
