Abstract

Building construction requires a process of selecting criteria and alternatives to get the most economical and efficient type of foundation. Analysis and testing is carried out to obtain the most optimal results, where alternatives are selected based on the parameters that have been set and adjusted to their needs and conditions. Value Engineering is a creative and planned approach with the aim of identifying and efficiently costing unnecessary costs. VE can be an effective analysis tool to be used to find alternative ideas that produce savings with functional limitations and job quality (saving cost). Research parameters using technical criteria of foundation, soil condition, cost, time, environmental impact, implementation method and so on. This Value Engineering Analysis on the foundation work of the Building Development Project OK Sentral RSUD Dr. H. Moh. Anwar produced recommendations for the use of the foundation of the cross-sectional stake box size of 35x35 cm as the most favorable option reviewed from the consideration of cost and quality aspects with cost savings of Rp. 450,366,549.20. However, if reviewed from the consideration of implementation time and impact on the environment, then the type of bore pile foundation Ø 40 cm can be the next choice with savings of Rp. 115,777,729.99, along with other advantages on the consideration of simpler work equipment, placement of materials that do not require a wide area, and a more flexible form of construction
