Abstract
Laskar Soeroboyo as a group in the community has a function in preserving buildings and historical relics. This research was conducted to find out how the communication function of the group that occurred in the community of Laskar Soeroboyo in preserving historical relics. Researchers use qualitative research methods that have research stages beyond various stages of scientific critical thinking, where a researcher begins to think inductively, namely capturing facts or social phenomena through observations in the field, then analyzing them and then trying to theoretically based on what is experienced. The results showed. Knowing that all the functions of group communication can run well is important a communication in a group, namely group communication serves as a place to establish social relationships between each layer of society, and not just establish relationships between members only.
