Abstract
This research is about The Influence of Individual Characteristic, Competence, and Communication on Quality of Work Life, Job Satisfaction, and The Performance of Batik SMEs’ in Pamekasan Regency. The population of the study was 1.691 respondents, using Maximum Likelihood estimation methods the number of samples was 196 respondents. Test the model with Maximum Likelihood (ML), structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis, and AMOS 22 software assistance. The test results show the model (fit) can be seen from the values of Prob, GFI, AGFI, TLI, CFI, and RMSEA, which amounted to 0.084, 0.899, 0.867, 0.959, 0.967, and 0,02, respectively, are in the range of expected values so that the model can be accepted. The results showed that: 1). Individual Characteristic affects Quality of Work Life, 2). Individual Characteristic affects Job Satisfaction, 3) Individual Characteristic affects The Performance, 4). Competence affects Quality of Work Life, 5). Competence affects Job Satisfaction, 6). Competence not affects Performance, 7). Communication affects Quality of Work Life, 8). Communication affects Job Satisfaction, 9). Communication affects the Performance, 10) Quality of Work Life not affects Performance, and 11). Job Satisfaction affects Performance. The results of this study are a significant contribution, especially in the theory of human resources management. This research recommended to business owner Batik SMEs’ to pay attention to two variabels that is competence variabel and quality of work life because this variabels not significant effect. Suggestions for other researchers should be made to increase the scope of the studi, considering the many factors that affect employee performance.
