Abstract

This research focuses on marketing personal selling activities of Palm Park Hotel Surabaya because the promotional activities previously carried out are focused through the media dan the lack of personal selling activities, making it less effective. With minimal response from prospective customers, Palm Park Hotel needs to analyze the methods used in this promotion. Not eliminating the media, but also maximizing personal selling activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of personal selling marketing strategies that are used by Palm Park Hotel Surabaya marketing in acquiring customers. As well as factors that hinder personal selling activities that have been running before. as an analytical effort in increasing Sales of Palm Park Hotel Surabaya. To reveal this problem thoroughly dan deeply, the research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative data triangulation approach which is useful for providing facts dan data regarding the personal selling strategy of Palm Park Hotel Surabaya. This research uses Kotler dan Armstrong's Personal selling Theory, namely by the process of finding potential customers dan qualifying them, pre-approach, presentation dan demonstration, overcoming objections, closure, fiber follow-up dan maintenance. The results of the study found that personal selling activities carried out by Palm Park Hotel Surabaya were still minimal, so that there needed to be an increase, namely by underst daning the market dan field conditions, dan creating a Sales plane to be carried out step by step. Not only taking one point in personal selling activities.
