Abstract

Concrete panels are a product of the development of civil engineering as an alternative to replacing conventional concrete. Concrete panels are one of the lightweight concrete products that use a precast system where the production process is carried out outside the project location which is then carried and installed in the work location according to the prepared place, in contrast to conventional systems where the casting process is carried out directly on site. Concrete panels have been widely applied to construction works, one of which is the construction of Al-Irshad Al-Islamiyah Integrated Islamic Middle School in this case on the implementation of floor slabs originally planned with conventional concrete. This study was conducted with the aim of comparing the implementation of conventional concrete and panel concrete methods in the implementation of the most effective and efficient slab in terms of cost and time of implementation. The panel concrete used in this study is DEPANEL products made of cement and polystyrene aggregates which are combined in such a way on the surface of non-asbestos fiber cement. From the results of the analysis it was found that the total cost of the concrete panel floor work was Rp. 136,968,180 cheaper Rp. 89,807,384.56 or 41.92% of conventional floor plates with a total cost of Rp. 326,775,564.56. While the total implementation time on the panel concrete slab work is 28 calendar days, 29 days faster than the implementation time on conventional floor plates which requires implementation time of 57 calendar days. So that it can be concluded that the use of concrete panels is more effective and efficient than the use of conventional concrete.
