Abstract

Traffic accidents often cause casualties and reduce the economic level of a family if the accident is a family breadwinner. Accidents that often occur with a high level of severity risk occur in the type of accident out of the road. Therefore it is necessary to research the problem of the causes of accidents with severe fatalities in terms of road side hazard management and road equipment delineation. This study aims to evaluate the road side hazard and mark delineation functions along with road signs using the gap analysis method. Data collection techniques carried out by discussion, taking planning data, taking implementation data and conducting field surveys by visual video recording due to a pandemic covid - 19 problem. The analysis was carried out in three stages, first about the free side area of the road, second about delineation of the road and third about road side hazard management. Installation of markers in general is well in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 34 of 2014 Article 18, 28, 29 and Transportation Minister Number Number 67 of 2018 Article 16 2018 appendix table 12 where the maximum distance between chevron signs is 150 m for a radius of> 2,000 m. The distance of the reflector installation to the 25 m security fence is not in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number 82 Year 2018 article 7 where the distance between the reflectors on the security fence is maximum 20 m if the planned speed exceeds 80 km / hour. The size of the Chevron signs on the road median is in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 13 of 2014, attachment to table II No. 11d dan 11e The embankment height exceeds 1 m with a steeper slope of 1: 2 classified as critical according to the Directorate General of Bina Marga Instruction No: 02 / IN / Db / 2012 About Technical Guidelines for Road Safety Engineering Directorate General of Highways, the addition of semi-rigid safety fence installation along 7,346 m in critical areas aims to protect vehicles that are out of control do not overturn. Dismantling and installing 162 m semi-rigid security fence on the transition connection with the parapet to protect the out of control vehicle from crashing into the end of the parapet. It is necessary to modify the semi-rigid security fence by shortening the distance between the safety fence poles so that it is necessary to add 252 security fence poles to the parapet transition joint, type B1, B2 signs, D2 and PJU poles to eliminate potential road side hazards. Crash pads must be installed on the nose and U turn as many as 14 units because they have potential hazards
