Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Investasi (X1) dan Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja (X2) terhadap Sektor Industri Pengolahan (Y) di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian menggunakan data deret waktu periode 2010–2024 yang dianalisis dengan metode regresi linier berganda menggunakan EViews 12, dilengkapi dengan uji t, koefisien determinasi (R²), dan Uji Sobel untuk menguji pengaruh tidak langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Investasi dan Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara langsung terhadap sektor industri pengolahan. Nilai R² sebesar 28,41% menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel hanya mampu menjelaskan sebagian variasi sektor industri pengolahan. Namun demikian, investasi terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, dan hasil Uji Sobel menunjukkan bahwa Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja berperan sebagai variabel mediasi yang signifikan dalam hubungan antara investasi dan sektor industri pengolahan. Dengan demikian, pengaruh investasi terhadap sektor industri pengolahan di Jawa Timur lebih efektif terjadi melalui peningkatan penyerapan tenaga kerja dibandingkan secara langsung.
